Topic: Hazardous Materials and Water Infiltration

Mitigation of hazardous materials and water related damage is a serious issue for building management and construction industry professionals.  Hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, mercury and PCB’s are commonly know “bad” materials and have been for a long time.  With the rise of mold, refrigerants, SF6 gas and water being added to the list of hazards, the need to know more about mitigating these issues is increasingly important.

Not only does building industry management need to know about their respective facility, but being cognizant of outside sources is required as well.  UCLA understands this all too well as they were inundated by a virtual flood of water from a ruptured water main adjacent to the campus where millions of gallons caused millions of dollars of damage.  Come learn about these issues and gain valuable insight on how to properly deal with them.
