FEBRUARY DINNER MEETING & PRESENTATION:

RECAP:  Members of the Inland Empire Chapter, CSI, AIA Inland Counties and Inland Empire USGBC held their annual joint meeting on March 27, 2014 at the Holiday Inn Airport, Ontario.  57 members reserved for the meeting.  Cliff Brewis of McGraw Hill presented their Annual McGraw Hill Construction Industry Forecast.

Much to everyone's relief, 2014 statistics show a marked improvement in all but one sector of the new construction market.  Our Industry is on an upswing.  Cliff's presentation is available on our website should you wish to review in depth.  We have also posted photos of this fun yearly event.  We hope you will join us next year!

Description: McGraw-Hill Construction Outlook 2014

The construction industry is beginning to show indications of a recovery, but challenges still cloud the picture.  Are we in the midst of a strong upturn or will we continue to muddle along?  What are the issues that will have the most impact on construction and what should the industry expect?  McGraw-Hill Construction is in a unique position to provide a knowledgeable perspective on the economy and the construction industry.  Please join Cliff Brewis, McGraw-Hill Construction’s Senior Director of Editorial Operations, as he reviews the construction outlook.

The program will begin by reviewing the national economy, including a discussion of the major economic influences on construction.  From there Cliff will analyze specific construction segments: including housing, commercial, institutional and public works construction.  He will provide McGraw-Hill’s forecast and reasoning.

Essentially, the presentation is an effort to “make sense of it all,” and to help your prepare for the near future.
