Critical Structures

If you didn't make our meeting Jan 7 you missed a great presentation! We saw how you could prevent shoulder strain by not having to turn 2000 document pages to find the section needed for an RFI! Go paperless! Wow!

Daniel Shirkey and Justin Maletic from Balfour Beatty demonstrated the newest technology they use from design to construction. Going paperless is becoming so much easier. Teaching us " old dogs"  why technology is the future

and how it can provide efficient use of time and better communication. We experienced how 3D imaging is used to review design layout without the cost and time building mock ups. You heard of Amazon planning to use drones for delivery, but have you seen how drones can be used in construction! Of course there are legal issues with their use in commercial work, but once these are resolved, we are going to see some amazing use of drones in construction.

Don't miss our next meeting February 12th at the Holiday Inn, Ontario. We look forward seeing you. Bring a friend and introduce them to the chapter!
